Local communities in solidarity with people in earthquake zones
Hasene has called for item donations in parallel to monetary fundraising from the people in the UK. People especially from London area have donated with clothing, blankets and other fundamental items to bear the cold winter. Tens of people has cooperated and worked together day and night to prepare the items that were collected at ICMG UK centre on High Road, London. The collected donations are being sent to Kahramanmaras and surrounding areas with support of Turkish Airlines cargo services.
As of 9 February a mobile bakery has arrived in Kahramanmaras and is actively working to provide 10-15 thousand breads every day. Sad news were heard from the area as until now it has been confirmed that over 20 thousand people have lost their lives in Turkiye and Syria. On the other hand, good news has been heard too as more people are pulled out from under the rubble. Hasene Balkans has also arranged mobile clinic from Bosnia and due to arrive in the area on 11 February.
