Zakat in the Quran

In the Quran, in 30 verses, the worship of zakah is mentioned with the word “ zakat ” and payment of zakah is ordered. However, in 14 verses the word ” charity ” is mentioned. Some of them are meant by zakat;

“Take charity from their property; with it you clean them (from sins), purify and glorify them. And pray for them. Because your prayer is calm for them (calms them). Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”

(The time of repentance, 9: 103)

“Here you are called to spend in the way of Allah. Some of you are stingy. But whoever is stingy is only stingy. God is rich, and you are poor. If you turn away from Him, it will bring you a society other than you, and they will no longer be like you.”

(Surah Muhammad, 47:38)

These three verses are proofs that zakah is an obligatory worship.

“Do the prayer, give the zakat.”

(Surat al-Baqara, 2: 110)

“Get zakah from the property of the believers so that you can clean them and increase their property.”

(The time of repentance, 9: 103)

“Pay for the product on the day of harvest.”

(Surat al-An’âm, 6: 141)
